When I try to modify a form or header I am getting a runtime error stating that the library is not registered and then program shuts down. Really annoying! Started after windows update about 2 weeks ago. Tried running as ADMIN, re-booting etc. Any ideas to fix this.   Run-time error '-2147319779 (8002801D Library not registered (exception from HRESULT 0x8002801D TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED))

Hello, Guy. We see you previously posted a thread on the same subject awhile back, previously handled.  See https://archive.3dinspection.com/en/component/cjforum/topic/10048-general-forum/report-writer/605-add-a-form-will-not-load?Itemid=159

Although not impossible I suppose, a windows update alone would not usually cause such an issue.  However if you are perhaps also using any special so-called "Clean up" utilities, registry managers, or third party security software, those items have been known to cause this type of problem, thus more likely to cause this kind of problem, and their use is actually not recommended by Microsoft. If you are using any such items, you may want to consider uninstalling them to avoid future issues with 3D or other software as well, esp. since you apparently had this same issue in the past.

Windows 10 is designed to self-manage registry and other housekeeping in the system automatically, but sometimes people try to use third-party utilities such as Malwarebyes, CCleaner, AVG tune up, and similar to "clean up" what they believe might be unneeded registry entries. If those inadvertently remove items used by programs that are installed, that can break those programs. Microsoft actually does not support or recommend the use of such utilities for this reason, and because Windows is much more self-maintaining now than perhaps prior versions of Windows. You may find this related thread interesting: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-other_settings/registry-cleaner-for-windows-10/fb7b8fbb-4380-4876-8515-2aebf4744259

In any event uninstalling and reinstalling the 3D software should resolve it by repairing broken entries and components. Windows makes it convenient to uninstall: Right-click your Windows start button. Choose Apps and Features. Tap the 3D Inspection System 12 program listed right there, and tap Uninstall.  While there you might check for any unwanted utilities that could be culprits and uninstall those at the same time.

Afterward simply run the latest program installer you archived again and follow the wizard to reinstall. That's all there should be to it. Your existing data remains intact so the repaired program can simply pick up and use it.  If for some reason  you cannot locate your last downloaded installer, send a ticket to support and they can easily send a new installer download to a current subscriber.
