3D Inspection System software and mobile apps make it easy to add as many images as you need to any particular section of your narrative reports. These images can also be printed neatly across the page for that section.
Normally when you add another image to a field already containing an image, the program automatically copies the field to accommodate the additional images. In the program running on a regular Windows computer, just double-click another image in the lower Thumbnails pane, the program automatically copies the subheading field and inserts the additional image. In the mobile apps likewise, simply capture or insert another image and the app copies the field as needed to accommodate it.
This allows you to insert a virtually unlimited number of images for any report subheading. So how does one automatically have those images printed neatly across the page for each section in the final report. To do so use the special "below" image position setting for all your images. In your main program, click the Gear icon in the lower Thumbnails pane to access Settings to adjust your default settings. Set your default image position to "below". Choose OK and now whenever new images are inserted or converted from a mobile inspection, they will use the default image position you specified there.
Although images may be located on separate copied fields in the report writer, if they are all set to "below", then they will all print together in the below image section, one right after another, within the margin area you have specified in page setup. Use File > Page Setup, Image Section to adjust the margins for that area. For instance if you want images printing all the way across the page, you might set the left and right margins for Image Section to something like 0.50" or similar.
The position of individual images in the report may of course be adjusted at any time by clicking their thumbnail to edit their settings. If you don't use the "below" image positioning, then an image will still print in the subheading section you indicated, but may be printed to the left or right of any comments on its particular fields. This might be handy if you wish to include different comments next to each picture for instance, although everything is still under the same general subheading section. Or it might be useful when you do not have multiple images or angles for item, and wish to wrap text around the single image you inserted.
